All owners applying for an equine passport are now required to have their horse or pony microchipped at the same time.
Microchipping is a quick, easy and safe way to permanently identify a horse.
We recommend that all horses and ponies are microchipped. Microchip details can be added to existing passports without the need for re-passporting.
