Shockwave therapy has become increasingly popular in equine medicine in the treatment of soft tissue injuries such as tendon and suspensory ligament sprains, orthopaedic pain relief (arthritis/navicular) and musculoskeletal disorders of the back to include sacroiliac strains and kissing spines. Shockwave therapy is also used as a non invasive treatment for angular limb deformities in foals.
Treatment is administered by a hand held probe linked to a compressor. The compressor generates a series of shock waves to encourage healing and provide pain relief during rehabilitation.

Tower Equine can provide a mobile shockwave therapy service in conjunction with EV Veterinary Products.
